One-on-One Coaching
Coaching is a great way to bring both the opportunities and the challenges in your personal and professional life into a supportive, conscious examination. Once you can see how your own beliefs and actions impact your life it is much easier to choose a different course.
Attitudes + Beliefs = Behaviour = Outcomes: this formula is a distilled understanding of how we live our lives and why we get the results we do. Every piece of sensory information we receive, sights, sounds, tastes, touch and thoughts, is processed through our conscious and unconscious beliefs.
Everything that comes our way is run through our own particular filter, meaning and value are given and decisions are made. From these decisions our behaviour arises and we take action. Action leads to outcomes, which we may or may not like.
If we stop to question our behaviour the only measuring stick we have is our own inner belief system. Because it is “our belief system” it’s not easy to see how we could have behaved differently; everyone’s behaviour always makes sense — to them.Most often, in early life, we only question our behaviour (and maybe our beliefs) if external feedback is strong enough to get our attention and that usually means that something has gone wrong. From mid-life on, with a broader base of experience, it is more common to begin wondering if there isn’t an easier and more enjoyable way to live in the world.
